Convert Formulas to Values in Google Sheets

Learning to apply formulas and do various calculations in Google Sheets can greatly increase your efficiency when it comes to performing various jobs.
However, there will be instances when you need to discard your formulas and convert them to numbers.
This tutorial will show you how to paste your computed value as values and remove your formula.

How to Copy and Paste as values

Column C in this example is a formula derived from A*B. I’m going to copy C and paste it in as a value. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Select all of the cells with formulas that you want to convert to values by clicking with your pointer on them.
  2. Select Copy with a right-click on your mouse.
  3. Right-click your mouse again and choose Paste special.
  4. Select Paste values alone from the drop-down menu.

For copy use Ctrl+C

For paste values only press Ctrl+Shift+V
