Using the LN function in Google Sheets

When performing advanced calculations, Google Sheets lets you save a lot of time by allowing the use of multiple dynamic functions that do the job for you.

One of these functions is the logarithm function, named LN and we will learn how to use it in this article.

The LN function

The LN function in Google Sheets will return the normal logarithm of the input using base (e). The syntax is:

=LN(value)

where value is the value that you want to calculate the logarithm of. It can be the actual value itself or a reference to the cell containing the value. Note that it has to be a positive integer.

Demonstration of LN function

It will be useful to apply this function when it is needed to make log calculations. Saves a lot of time and effort.

That was all for this article. Hopefully you learnt something new today!
